Hi everyone!! Well, after nearly three years of being an informal association, Nimity and I decided to take the plunge and formally register our group. We have registered as an ‘incorporated association’, so we are now called “Doula Network Australia Incorporated”!!

Doula Network Australia is a national peer-support network. We have over 400 members in our Facebook group and are growing daily. We present these guidelines to members as recommendations on how to effectively and appropriately communicate on social media. Our role is not to ‘police’ conduct of individual doulas but we ask that each member please thoughtfully consider these recommendations and act accordingly.

Wow, over 50 members have joined us since we launched the site 4 weeks ago - thanks everyone!!
We feel that we are now ready to approach doula training organisations and ask them to support our website by telling their trainees about us. The more members we have the more we can learn from each other and the more able we are to have a unified voice in the birthing community.
